Vietnam has Never Had So Many $1 Billion Market Capitalization Securities Companies as Today

The Vietnamese stock market is experiencing one of the most vibrant periods in its history, with the VN-Index reaching 1,600 points and liquidity consistently hitting around $2-3 billion. As of mid-August, six securities companies in Vietnam have a market capitalization of over $1 billion: SSI, VIX, VND, VCI, HCM, and MBS. Notably, VIX stands out, having increased 2.7 times in just two months. VIX and MBS have just joined the “$1 billion club”, while the others reached this level in late 2021 and early 2022. Techcom Securities (TCBS) is also preparing for an IPO, which could further increase the number of $1 billion securities companies. Vietnam is expected to be upgraded to Emerging Market status by FTSE Russell, attracting significant foreign investment, thereby boosting growth for the stock sector and the potential of digital assets in Vietnam.
