Vietnamese law enforcement arrested five suspects in Da Nang on January 18 for allegedly embezzling approximately 14 billion VND (about 532,800 USD) in a cryptocurrency fraud scheme.
The suspects reportedly imitated the Nasdaq exchange and utilized communications networks to conduct their scheme, creating numerous fake social media accounts to mislead victims into investing with false profit claims.
