Vietnamese Billionaires’ Stocks See Significant Changes

On August 5, the Vietnamese stock market experienced strong growth, particularly with stocks owned by dollar billionaires. Vingroup’s (VIC) stock, owned by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, surged 6.47%, increasing his wealth by 17.3 trillion VND to 267 trillion VND. Other stocks in the Vingroup group also saw considerable rises, such as Vinhomes (VHM) and VRE. HDBank (HDB) shares, associated with billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, rose by 3.39%, while Vietjet Air (VJC)’s shares gained 2.04%. Billionaire Tran Dinh Long’s Hoa Phat (HPG) stock increased by 4.94%. Additionally, Techcombank (TCB) and Masan (MSN) saw respective increases of 4.95% and 2.84%. Overall, the wealth of several billionaires, including Pham Nhat Vuong, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Tran Dinh Long, Ho Hung Anh, and Nguyen Dang Quang, significantly rose during this trading session.
