Vietnamese Billionaires’ Stocks Show Notable Movement

On August 5, stocks of several Vietnamese billionaires experienced significant increases. Vingroup’s stock (VIC), owned by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, rose by 6.47% to 118,400 VND/share, increasing his wealth by 17.3 trillion VND, reaching 267 trillion VND. Other stocks in the Vingroup family, such as Vinhomes (VHM), also rose by 6.18%, and VRE by 4.81%. HDBank’s stock (HDB), led by billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, and Vietjet Air’s stock (VJC) also increased by 3.39% and 2.04%, respectively. Hoa Phat’s stock (HPG) saw a 4.94% rise with 76.4 million shares traded. Techcombank (TCB) and Masan (MSN) stocks, linked to billionaires Ho Hung Anh and Nguyen Dang Quang, increased by 4.95% and 2.84%. According to Forbes, the net worth of these billionaires also saw growth: Pham Nhat Vuong (+1.2 billion USD), Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao (+228 million USD), Tran Dinh Long (+13 million USD), Ho Hung Anh (+165 million USD), and Nguyen Dang Quang (+36 million USD).
