Vietnamese Company Sells Crucial Product, Accounting for 1/3 of Global Exports: What’s the Profit?

Duoc Giang Chemicals Joint Stock Company (DGC) is the leading exporter of yellow phosphorus (P4) in Asia, controlling 1/3 of global exports. This crucial raw material is essential for various industries, including semiconductor manufacturing. In 2024, DGC reported revenues of 9.865 trillion VND and a net profit of 3.109 trillion VND, primarily from P4 sales. P4 production rose by 27%, despite a 9.5% average price drop. DGC plans a revenue of 10.385 trillion VND in 2025. However, global P4 prices are affected by China’s production status, which is reducing due to rising costs. P4 prices are expected to rise slightly by 3% due to semiconductor demand. DGC anticipates revenues of 11.388 trillion VND in 2025.
