Vietnamese Dollar Billionaires’ Stocks Show Significant Changes

On August 5th, during a trading session, many stocks of Vietnamese dollar billionaires experienced impressive growth. Vingroup’s stock (VIC), owned by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, surged by 6.47%, reaching 118,400 VND per share, which boosted his fortune by 17.3 trillion VND, totaling 267 trillion VND. Other stocks within the Vingroup group also saw increases, such as Vinhomes (VHM) and VRE. HDBank (HDB) and Vietjet (VJC), led by billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, also rose by 3.39% and 2.04% respectively. Hoa Phat’s stock (HPG) owned by billionaire Tran Dinh Long increased by 4.94% with notable trading volume. Similarly, Techcombank (TCB) and Masan (MSN) stocks also rose by 4.95% and 2.84%. According to Forbes, Vuong’s net worth has now reached 12.3 billion USD, ranking him 217th in the world. Other billionaires such as Thao, Long, Ho Hung Anh, and Nguyen Dang Quang also saw increases in their wealth.
