Vietnam’s largest beer company sells less beer but makes “huge” profits, earning 2.7 billion VND in interest daily without effort

Sabeco (HOSE: SAB) reported its Q3 2025 financial results, showing a 16.1% decrease in revenue to 6.437 trillion VND, while net profit rose by 21.6%, reaching 1.3605 trillion VND, the highest in 13 quarters. The profit growth resulted from a 24.9% drop in cost of goods sold, leading to a 5% increase in gross profit to 2.386 trillion VND. The gross profit margin improved from 29.7% to 37.1%. In the first nine months of 2025, revenue totaled 19.052 trillion VND, down 17%, but net profit remained stable at 3.361 trillion VND, completing 71% of the yearly target. Sabeco paid 10.416 trillion VND in taxes and distributed 3.848 trillion VND in dividends for 2024. Total assets reached 31.335 trillion VND, with cash and cash equivalents making up 64% of its assets, yielding 741 billion VND in interest, approximately 2.7 billion VND daily.
