Vietnam’s Largest Pawn Shop Chain Soars 52% in 3 Days – What Just Happened?

In the stock market just before Tet 2026, a dramatic increase was recorded for shares of F88 Investment Corporation. Following a stock split at a ratio of 1:12, the F88 stock experienced a significant rise in both price and liquidity. By the end of trading on January 22, F88 shares increased by 15%, closing at 187,100 VND per share, with a total increase of 52% over three days. With a market capitalization now exceeding 20.6 trillion VND, F88 officially joins the group of billion-dollar companies on the stock exchange. The liquidity improvement was evident as the trading volume surged to 180,000 units on January 22, nearly 20 times higher than the average beforehand. Although the stock split didn’t change the intrinsic value, it created a positive psychological effect for investors as the price became more accessible. The adjusted price of about 100,000 VND per share helped attract short-term speculative money, eliminating liquidity barriers.
