According to the report on labor structure at 21 major enterprises in Vietnam, the proportion of women in the workforce is primarily low, especially in heavy industry, with Hoa Phat Group at only 12%. However, the banking sector has a higher female rate, around 60%, except for Sacombank below 50%. Notably, at Vingroup, while only 37.3% of employees are women, they make up 59% of leadership positions. Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong believes that women have strengths in management roles like finance and legal. In contrast, Vinhomes has only 28.7% of female managers, while Masan Group shows unevenness in female empowerment across different departments. Despite women making up over 70% of the workforce, they hold only 1/4 of leadership positions, indicating inequality in promotion opportunities.
