Vingroup Returns to Top 10 Market Capitalization, Phạm Nhật Vượng’s Wealth Rises by 2,000 Billion After One Session

In March, the stock market experienced a strong rise in shares from Vingroup, such as VIC, VHM, and VRE, allowing Vingroup to surpass PV Gas and return to the top 10 largest market capitalization companies in Vietnam with a market cap of around 161 trillion VND. The sharp rise in shares benefited shareholders and increased billionaire Phạm Nhật Vượng’s assets by nearly 2 trillion VND on March 3, currently estimated at about 90 trillion VND (3.5 billion USD) on the stock market. He also ranks as the richest person in Vietnam and the 637th in the world with personal assets of 5.3 billion USD. Vingroup expects 2024 revenue to reach 192.159 trillion VND and net profit of 5.251 trillion VND, driven by the handover of real estate from major projects and the growth of VinFast. The group also announced a 300 billion VND investment to establish a subsidiary in the smart urban application field in Hanoi.
