Vingroup sues 68 organizations and individuals for spreading false information about the Group

Vingroup has filed a lawsuit against 68 organizations and individuals for spreading false information about the group on social media platforms such as Facebook, Tiktok, and Youtube. The misinformation primarily revolves around Vingroup’s financial situation, product quality, false claims about leadership, and legal issues. Specifically, some social media accounts have alleged that Vingroup is on the brink of bankruptcy, falsely reporting its debts as 800 trillion VND. In reality, Vingroup’s total loans were approximately 283 trillion VND, much lower than stated. They confirm a high level of domestic production in their automotive and electric motorbike segments and have collected evidence of the violations to pursue legal actions, working with lawyers for international legal measures to safeguard their legal rights. Vingroup’s Vice Chairman Nguyen Viet Quang emphasized that the lawsuit aims not only to protect the group’s interests but also to uphold societal values.
