According to a report from 21 major companies, Vingroup has only 37.3% of female employees, yet women occupy 59% of managerial positions. The banking sector has a high female employee rate (around 60%), but Sacombank is an exception with only 48.28% female staff and 24.1% female managers. Other companies like Masan Group also show high female ratios but lower managerial rates. The reality indicates that despite comprising a large segment of the workforce, women still face many challenges in advancing to managerial positions. ILO notes that Vietnamese women have a high labor participation rate but often shoulder more family responsibilities, affecting their careers.
