On May 21, numerous stocks saw significant increases, particularly Vinhomes (VHM), Vietnam Airlines (HVN), Novaland (NVL), and Gelex (GEX). VHM soared to its second consecutive ceiling at 67,300 VND/share, confirming its status as the largest real estate company on the stock market, with a market capitalization of 276 trillion VND. HVN also made a strong leap to 36,450 VND/share, close to its historic peak from 2018, with a market cap nearing 81 trillion VND. Vietnam Airlines has approved a plan to offer 900 million shares to cover debts. NVL of Novaland rebounded to its highest price since September 2024, with a market cap of about 25 trillion VND, amid plans for debt-for-equity swaps. GEX also hit its ceiling, approaching its historical high from late 2021, priced at 32,500 VND/share and a market cap of 28 trillion VND. The market is currently experiencing a phase of strong differentiation, with VN-Index lacking significant breakthroughs but witnessing notable stock rises.
