According to Forbes, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao’s fortune reached 3.7 billion USD, the highest ever, up nearly 1 billion USD since the end of 2024. She remains the second richest person in Vietnam, behind Pham Nhat Vuong, and ranks 1,049 on the global billionaire list. This increase is linked to the rise of Vietjet and HDBank stocks, with HDB shares up over 28% and VJC shares skyrocketing 64% in two months. Thao holds over 47.4 million shares of VJC and 137.7 million shares of HDB. At the inauguration of the Saigon Marina International Financial Centre, she expressed hopes it will become an important financial center in Ho Chi Minh City, spanning over 106,000 m² and achieving LEED Gold certification.
