Winklevoss twins’ Gemini exchange selects Malta as Europe MICA hub

The Gemini exchange, founded by the Winklevoss twins, has selected Malta to establish its compliance hub for the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework.

Gemini’s head of Europe noted that developing the necessary infrastructure presents a significant challenge but also an opportunity for standardized operations across multiple jurisdictions.

While Gemini has not yet secured a MiCA license, they are actively working towards compliance, aligning their services with new regulatory standards to enhance clarity in the market.
