HoSE Market Capitalization Increased by 690 Trillion VND in Six Months: Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong Accounts for 80%, TCB and Gelex Contribute Over 1 Billion USD; FPT and VCB See Significant Declines

The market capitalization on HoSE increased by 690 trillion VND in the first half of 2025, reaching approximately 5.9 million trillion VND, which is a 13% increase compared to the end of 2024. Vingroup (VIC) led the growth with a capitalization increase of 210 trillion VND, becoming the second largest company after Vietcombank. Vinpearl (VPL) and Vinhomes (VHM) also recorded strong growth, with a total of four companies in the Vingroup group contributing 549 trillion VND to the overall growth. Techcombank (TCB) and Gelex (GEX) were prominent among banks with capitalization increases of 66 and 17 trillion VND, respectively. Conversely, some companies like FPT and Vietcombank (VCB) experienced a decline in capitalization, with FPT down by 51 trillion VND (23%) and VCB declining by 36 trillion VND (7%). Additionally, several other banks such as HDBank and TPBank also reported decreased capitalizations. Other companies like Vinamilk and BSR also saw reductions of less than 20 trillion VND.
