Export Companies Vinatex, May Song Hong, Vinh Hoan, Sao Ta… Enter The Toughest Testing Phase Since Early Year

The business results of Q3/2025 show many large export businesses facing difficulties due to tariffs. Sao Ta reported revenue of 2,983 billion VND, up 5%, but also incurred several new types of taxes, with net profit increasing by 6.7%. Vinh Hoan achieved a revenue of over 3,470 billion VND, but revenue from exporting catfish to the U.S. decreased by nearly 8%. Nam Kim Steel and Thanh Cong Garment also reported declining revenues and profits. In contrast, Vinatex and May Song Hong reported significant profit growth by effectively tapping the market. Vinatex’s Q3 profit increased by over 56%, and May Song Hong’s increased by 54% despite slight revenue declines. Looking ahead to Q4/2025, Vinatex and Thanh Cong are optimistic about orders. However, the seafood industry, particularly Sao Ta, may face significant challenges with new tariffs from the U.S., prompting them to strengthen expansion into other markets to reduce dependency.
