Export companies Vinatex, May Sông Hồng, Vĩnh Hoàn, Sao Ta… Entering the greatest trial phase since the beginning of the year

The business results of some export companies like Sao Ta and Vĩnh Hoàn were affected by tariffs in Q3 2025. Sao Ta achieved revenue of 2,983 billion VND, a 5% increase, but faced various taxes, with gross profit rising 6.7% to 251.2 billion VND. Vĩnh Hoàn reported revenue of 3,470 billion VND, a 5.8% increase, and profit of 455 billion VND, a 34% rise; however, catfish exports to the US dropped sharply. In contrast, Vinatex and May Sông Hồng had positive results with a profit increase of 56% and 54% in Q3 respectively. Moving into Q4, the forecast becomes more complex as garment orders decline, and businesses face fierce competition in the US market. Furthermore, the seafood industry is expected to encounter even greater challenges with potential tax hikes. Nevertheless, many companies are looking for opportunities to expand markets to mitigate risks.
The government also announced the proposal to waive business permits for some other export sectors to support development.
